Brisa 0.4.1 Released!

Alright! There’s a new Brisa release available to download and install from the Downloads page! Quick note: After tagging the 0.4.0 release in git, I decided to apply some security updates to the Rails version, so 0.4.1 is the release to use - 0.4.0 wasn’t built :) The process for creating a release is getting easier. Starting to commit changes more quickly. I’d really like to create a Build doc so users can stay on the bleeding edge, but the PoiJS builder requires some patches in order to build correctly. Status Updates - October 2018

A pretty big update has just been published - try out the demo on the home page to see it in action! There are 2 primary changes: Group support has been added! They can be used to share with others, or just to separate major projects. User interface cleanup. The open views UI wasn’t working well (and horrible on mobile), so it has been moved to a sidebar, along with removing the Add icon in the header in favor of individual views implementing it. Client API Libraries, Auth, and more. Status Update - September 2018

Sep 28: The Python and JavaScript client libraries are both fully auto-generated now! Sep 8: The Brisa Docs have been updated further, with at least a blurb in each section. The login and authorization system has been switched to JSON Web Tokens, which will make it significantly easier to build APIs. Along with JWT, work is being done to get back to automated client libraries! The Rails backend now has a tool to generate a Ruby library. [Read More]

August 31 The Brisa Docs section of the website is started! After having some trouble with GitHub wiki formatting, I decided to host the docs on the site for now. A few sections are coming soon: User, Administration, API, and Developers. August 29 The Brisa backend code is live on GitHub as well now! The setup process is pretty difficult and poorly documented, but it will be cleaned up over time. [Read More]
